Hebrews 5:7–10
7 "In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety. 8 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. 9 And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation, 10 being designated by God as a high priest according to the order of Melchizedek."

We also learn of our Great High Priest that He is God's Son.  The writer already introduced that back in verse 5 as He quoted Psalm 2:7.  In this we are reminded again of the great love of God who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16).  We are reminded of the clear revelation of God that comes through Jesus, as John told us that in Christ we saw His glory, glory as the only begotten from the Father (John 1:14-18).  God did not select some "run of the mill" priest for us.  He sent the best!  He sent His Son!  Praise God for that.
