1 John 2:22–23
22 "Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also."
John is exposing liars; those who claimed Christianity but were lying. When do they prove themselves to have been phony? When they deny that Jesus is the Christ. You cannot deny the Son without also denying the Father who sent Him. On the other hand, those who know the Father confess the Lordship of the Son. Confess Jesus as Lord in your life.
