1 John 3:7–8
7 "Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil."
John's clarity continues to ring forth. There is a deception present in this world. It is that you can be a Christian and still willfully live in sin. This is a lie. Those who are in Christ do not tolerate the practice of sin in their lives, rather they pursue and practice righteousness. Ask God to free you from any shred of this present deception and to give you discernment regarding Christian living.
