1 John 2:1–2
1 "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; 2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world."

Jesus satisfied all of God's wrath against all the sin for all time for all those who believe.  And then John says, "not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world."  This verse cannot mean that Jesus satisfied God's wrath for all nonbelievers too, or else no one would be judged.  John simply means that Jesus is more than a Savior of Jews only, but also of Gentiles.  He is the world's Savior, and He is the only Savior this world will ever see.  Honor Christ this morning for doing what no other man could ever do...save the world!
