Hebrews 10:26–27
26 "For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries."
Paul just gave a great summary of the expectations that fall to us since we have such a great high priest. We should draw near, we should hold fast, and should be committed to encouraging others to do the same. Why? Because those who willfully deny those realities and do not draw near through Christ have no hope. If Christ is rejected there is no secondary sacrifice, only judgment. Pray that none in our congregation would fall away from Christ.
