Hebrews 10:8–10
8 "After saying above, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second. 10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."
Instead of a goat, Christ offered His own righteous life to God on our behalf and the result is remarkable! "By this will we have been sanctified". He offered His righteous life to God, and God set us apart to Himself as a result. The payment was accepted on our behalf! Not only did Christ satisfy the punishment for the Laws we had broken, here He satisfied the debt for the commands we had failed to keep. Jesus paid it all! Praise Him today!
