Hebrews 7:26–28
26 "For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; 27 who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 28 For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever."
Not only do we notice that Christ is holy, innocent, undefiled, and separated from sinners, but we also notice that He no longer needs to offer up sacrifices. The former priests did this annually, first for themselves and then for the people. Christ never needed to atone for Himself and He will never again atone for us because He did this "once for all when He offered up Himself." What a sufficient offering Christ gave on our behalf! The portal to God is forever opened. God will never close it again, for Christ has paid such a gift that access will never be revoked! We unlimited and unending access to the Father through Christ. Praise Him!
