Hebrews 4:9–10
9 "So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His."
It is the point of the passage. There is rest available for those who believe God. It is a rest from spiritual labor. It is the rest Christ offered when He said, "Come to Me, you who are weary and heavy-laden." It is rest from trying to earn salvation. It is rest from trying to control the scenarios of life. It is rest which comes from trusting in God's sovereign promises and His spiritual provision in Christ. Pray that our entire congregation can find rest in Christ.
