As Moses led the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt, it was time to preach the gospel. In steps the book of Genesis. Through the various major characters Moses preached the gospel to his congregation. Adam taught us the devastating effects of sin, Noah taught us the inevitability of judgment. Abraham taught us salvation that is by grace and through faith. In Jacob we learn the reality of sanctification as he is transformed into Israel, and in Joseph we are confronted with the beauty of God’s providence. Moses closes his gospel with the reminders that Egypt is not our home and to look to the promise of our inheritance. It is a beautiful story and one that Moses not only preached, but also lived! He himself had learned to heed this message and step out of Pharaoh’s court to claim an inheritance among the people of God. This book will change your perspective and change your life!
