Due to the COVID-19 restrictions regarding gatherings in confined spaces. We have decided to take advantage of the current social distancing rules set in place in our county that outside gatherings are permitted provided people are able to maintain a 6 foot social distancing space.
Because we recognize Easter Sunday as a day of worship, and because we greatly long to enjoy that day of worship with the saints, we are going to move our Easter Sunday Worship services to the Little League Field in Swenson Park.
Our services will be at 10:00am and 6:00pm
We will also be hosting Jack Stone in concert from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the park!

The Little League field proves to be a great location for this as there is electricity, restrooms, plenty of parking for those wishing to remain in their cars and plenty of shade trees for those who desire to spread out in lawn chairs. At the same time we welcome anyone who would like to bring a pop-up tent for shade, and we remind people that a jacket is always a good idea as Easter mornings can still be a bit chilly.
In a day of uncertainty and fear we can’t think of a better thing to do than to meet together and celebrate our living hope which comes through the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Hebrews 2:14-15 says, “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.” What a glorious truth to know that in Christ we have been set free from the fear of death!
We also have terribly missed our corporate worship. We all know that the church is so much more than special music or listening to a sermon. It is indeed the fellowship of the saints, where we gather and sing praises in one accord. While we are thankful for technology that allows us to broadcast information, we still miss fellowship with the body. Join us Easter Sunday in the park that we might raise our voices in worship to our resurrected Lord!
